The novel was published on the Famitsu Bunko label from April 28, 2018. The story follows the game's plot as the protagonist through an "if" situation by a new character.

The protagonist, Kota Yagami broke his shoulder during middle school, thus closing his baseball dreams to Koshien along with it.
Moving back to his grandmother's hometown, Kota enrolls into Sakihama High School which has no baseball club, until he was approached by a girl named Tsubasa Arihara whose enthusiasm reencourages his baseball passion to be the girls' baseball club's coach.
The club struggles to gather more members, until a Russian exchange student named Elena Starrfin transfers at the late season. Kota and Tsubasa try to scout her into the baseball club.

Those were Kota Yagami's vow after losing his baseball dreams in middle school, but revitalized by the passion from a girl named Tsubasa Arihara. He became the coach of Sakihama High's Girls' Baseball Club, where they thought recruiting new members seemed like smooth sailing. But with everybody's thoughts all separated, they couldn't decide whether to participate in the Summer Tournament.
The Club heads to a remote island for training camp joint with another girls' baseball group. There Kota and the girls meet a native girl named Nagisa Shiomi, who has talents as a pitcher yet holding her own problem.

Tsubasa Arihara and the other Sakihama Girls' Baseball Club members have successfully won the Spring Tournament.
Following their defeat against Kaiou High in last summer's championship, the Sakihama girls have finally won through hard work and experience through any practice match challenge. But a few days later, someone approaches the club's coach, Kota Yagami. Her name is Rena Kusakari, captain of the Kaiou Girls' Club and her request is "Would you like to visit Kaiou's training camp?"
To think Kota is approached with a mysterious invitation and Ayaka spots the two by accident!
Hence, the past of Rena Kusakari, the absolute queen of the girls' high school baseball is revealed.
